Alma López possesses a trait as coveted as it is rare: the innate ability to create.

A former model and law graduate, the founder and director of La Morenita began her journey in design at the London studio Paul & Joe in 2002. She soon realised that there was no better way to express herself than by creating her own pieces. Because Alma doesn’t just design — she creates. She crafts unique pieces that enhance delicate feminine elegance for women worldwide who, like her, appreciate the care and attention to detail involved.

In her workshop and private showroom in the Santa Catalina district of Palma, López imagines, designs, and perfects each piece of her collections, always adapting them to the latest trends without sacrificing exclusivity. Among all her creations, it was undoubtedly her collection of jewel fans that earned her international fame and made her a designer everyone watched closely.

Thanks to their friendship, Alma López and Natalia Xamena joined forces to create the BonSol x La Morenita capsule collection for the hotel’s 70th anniversary in 2023. The collection was so successful that a new edition has been produced, one we hope will stand the test of time.
